Hi, Hello, How Are You?
👋 About Me, Kevin at Drive Lincs
Calm, patient, highly qualified driving instructor specialising in anxious and neurodiverse learners.
Hi, I’m Kevin — the instructor behind Drive Lincs. I help people learn to drive in a way that feels calm, structured, and genuinely supportive. Whether you’re learning for the first time, returning after a break, or struggling with anxiety or neurodiversity, my goal is simple:
To help you become a confident, safe, independent driver at your own pace.
I don’t believe in rushing or overwhelming learners. I believe in understanding how you learn best — and building everything around that.
My Journey as a Driving Instructor
My driving career began in 1999 when I passed my PCV (bus) test and started driving London’s iconic red buses. Since then, I’ve spent over two decades working across:
-
public transport
-
bus and lorry driving
-
advanced defensive driving
-
professional driver training
-
passenger safety
-
confidence‑building coaching
This experience gives me a deep understanding of the road, vehicle control, and how to teach safely, calmly, and effectively.
I became a DVSA Approved Driving Instructor in 2023, bringing all my professional driving experience into the world of learner drivers — especially those who need a more patient, structured approach.
What I Specialise In:
🧠 Anxious & Nervous Drivers
I’m trained in the Drive Calm® system and ConfidentDrivers techniques, helping learners manage nerves, panic, and low confidence.
🌈 Neurodiverse Learners
With training in autism, ADHD, SEN, and executive function support, I adapt lessons to suit different learning styles.
🚘 Automatic Lessons Only
Automatic cars are smoother, simpler, and ideal for anxious or neurodiverse learners.
🛣️ Real‑World Driving Skills
I focus on safe, confident driving for life — not just passing the test.

feeling safe matters
Driving isn’t just a skill. It’s confidence, independence, and freedom.
My teaching style reflects that.
